“At the end of day, when I look myself in the mirror, I hope that my day has been for gain and not for loss. Because I have exchanged one day of my life for what I did or did not do”
Pamela Weaver
I joined the Acadian Home Builders in 1989 and Professional Women in Building in 1991 as an Associate in our air conditioning business.
From the beginning, I have been active in both organizations on the local level. I have served on most committees for the AHBA including PAC, Ambassador’s Club, Membership and chaired some of them. The same goes for PWB both locally and nationally. In 2013, I was President of the Acadian HBA and in 2006, I was President of Professional Women in Building in Lafayette.
When it comes to the state level, I did not become active until probably the last 16 years. I have served on the state board as a director and now as a Senior Officer. The committees I have served on are Membership, PAC, Public Relations and Remodelers Council.
I became very active early on in the National PWB board. Professional Women in Building was my pas-sion for many of my early years in the association. I served on their board as a Region D Trustee for 5 years and then moved into the Chair position in 2008.
Over the years, I became more involved with the building industry. I learned that I had a passion for the builder side of construction, as well. I love this industry. It has been good to my family and my children have also gotten involved. I am honored to have represented the state of Louisiana on the LHBA Board of Directors. I look forward to moving into the leadership role and working to help others prosper and learn about our great state and this home building industry that provides so much for the families of Louisiana. I am excited to start this new chapter of my career.
My husband, Lee and I have been married 41 years. Together we have raised a blended family of five children. We now have 4 grandchildren who are the light of our lives. We have a construction com-pany, W Homes, Inc. that we started in 2006 and we are trying to slow down and smell the roses, so to speak. That really means spending more time traveling to see our grandchildren!

He also has served on the Louisiana Home Builders Associations Board of Directors since 2015 and is currently serving as its State Representative, representing the LHBA on the National Association of Home Builders Board of Directors.
